A Cold Winter's Afternoon

The old YMCA building has long since been converted to condos. It retains its noble exterior. It has never been clear to me where these people park. Probably in a lot next door, but parking is sometimes tight, even in this small town.

Between the 'Y' and the neighboring building stands a nearly bare tree. I found the shape of these leaves calming and the colors a good representation of the season.

Along Beverley, the Christmas decorations, such as they are, still remain. This is the transition time of day when there is still light from the sun to be found but the street lights are coming on.

Behind the former Stonewall Jackson Hotel, now the Hotel 24, stands this fence in the growing evening gloom.
