Painted Desert - IV

As the sun sets, the shadows lengthen and become more dramatic.

Larger sections take on a bluish tint from the expanding shade.

The shadows deepen the intensity of the purples and deep reds intensifying the contrast with the parts still directly illuminated.

This dark red section reminds me of the innards of an animal spilled onn the ground. The curves feels quite organic.

As the sun sinks to the horizon, we take our leave. I want to get out of this place before dark. I don't want to get caught in the desert after dark with a punctured tire or something.
