Buying Spring Flowers

Now that Easter has passed and the sun is finally appearing more frequently, we headed out for a Saturday of flower shopping. First stop was the Farm at Swan's Trail where the Snohomish Garden Club was having it's annual sale. This was a madhouse. Lots of people with determination on their faces going for plants. So while Seth shopped, Anna, Seamus, Elizabeth and I investigated a tractor parked nearby.

Along the road at the farm were espaliered apple trees in bloom. 'Twas a pretty sight.

Once we bought our fill, we moved on to Flower World in Maltby. This is a nursery with just about everything you could need or want. Since I won't get to Skagit valley this year to see the tulips, this image from the nursery will have to suffice.

The main attraction was the ponds with turtles in the nursery. Seamus did lots of staring and investigating.

Here is one of the subjects of his rapt attention.

Across the road at the Maltby Produce Market there is also a petting zoo. this goat was very friendly.

And the Peacocks were out in fine form for a morning display as well.

Then back to the house for image processing while Anna and Seth put the flowers in the ground. Seems like a good division of labour to me.
