Frigiliana

Not far from where we are staying is the small mountain town of Frigiliana. These folks have done it right. There is parking on the edge of town and the rest is all walking distance...provided you don't mind a hill or two.

The entire village is white washed so I thought that shooting mostly in monochrome would be the right thing to do. In the narrow streets we find interesting doors everywhere.

Alleyways off the main thoroughfare seem to go mostly uphill.

But there are places where the colors play an important role in the composition.

Sitting, as do we, in the edge of the Sierra Nevada mountains, there is always a hill back there somewhere.

This fountain was built in 1640.

The city has some really cool manhole covers in the street.

The winner, however, is this kitten sticking his/her head out an open window at street level.

This fellow is perfectly happy to pose for the camera.

In case you were wondering, there are places for sale here. Just saying...wink, wink, nudge, nudge :).
