Marine Iguana and Brown Pelican

I'm quite certain that should one of these crawl up on my bed, I'd levitate somewhere near the ceiling. Not that they are likely to do that since they are plant eaters and not interested in me.

In addition to the four-footed critters on the beach, there are also birds to be seen. This brown pelican is cruising for a meal.

And, he gets one!

I've begun to believe that the reason these reptiles have such thick, scaly skins is to protect them from the moss and algae that grows on them. Clearly, grooming is not on the agenda.
