Galapagos Land Iguana

Today we have have the last of the land iguana as we prepare to leave South Plaza Island. I'm pretty sure that this partial creature in the foreground is a sea lion.

It is warm, humid, and now he is partially in the sun. Time for a nap, eh?

Because these fellows are very slow movers (as I would be if I lived there), it always feels like they are posing just for me.


Even when you think I've taken a photo of one of these creatures beginning to move, they aren't. They just get into this pose and sit there for extended periods.
