Our next stop was a visit to a blowhole. This blowhole is separated from the shore so that all you see if a pool of water and the blowhole.
It formed first as a sea cave and the roof collapsed leaving a pool separated from the shore line at the ground level. On one side of this pool is the blowhole. Once the water goes into the hole fast enough, there is a section of air in the back that gets compressed and blows the water and air back out. This creates a roaring/rushing noise.
This blowing sends spray into the air.
It is an amazing sight.
