Off to Rio Quijos

One last look at the sapphire throated hummingbird and then we pack up and head to a different location by a river for some lunch and different birds.
It was harder here to photograph the birds. They were much more hidden in the trees and bushes. But one of the flashiest of them is the golden tanager.

This little guy is easy to see and, since he perchs handily on nearby limbs, he is relatively easy to pheotograph.

The only other bird I got a good look at was the russet-backed oropendola. The oropendola are interesting birds. We saw a different sort of oropendola in Belize when we visited TIkal. However, they all build hanging baskets for their nest.
