The medium ground finch is ubiquitous on San Cristóbal. This one seems to be staring me down.
The trail we were walking along led us to a cliff from which we hoped to see a few frigate birds. We did see one or two fly over, but few good photos, if any, of these were had today. On the other hand, a looking over the cliff, we see a churning, active ocean battering the rocks below.
Most of the walkway was paved with flagstones. This galapagos flycatcher was hoping about on the path and posed for me in the afternoon sun.
On the beach, we found a brown pelican resting in the sun, casting a long shadow on the sand.
