Penguins, Sharks, and Turtles

These two penguins are sunning themselves and getting warm. You will notice that they both seem to have large sections of their white chest plumage appearing as a light yellow.

My first guess was that this is result of some glandular secretion they produce and smear on themselves to stay waterproof or something. However, my best efforts to research this tell me that this is not the case. There is no yellow pigment here at all. It is a trick of the light. So I'm told. I'm still reserving final judgement as I'm not yet convinced.

After viewing animals above the water, we switch to see some below the water. The shallow sea surrounding Las Tintoreras Islet is warm and sunny and the white tip sharks come here for a nap. That's right, they like to gather in protected water and just chill. And you thought that they needed to keep moving to breathe. Well, so did I, but this is not the case, at least for these sharks.

Also swimming with the sharks (and the penguins) are the green sea turtles.
