Boobies and Plovers

One of the better things to do on the beach is watch the boobies fly along the shallow waters and search for food.

But I especially enjoy seeing them fly in formation while they search. There is a grace and freedom I find in this. Perhaps it is the birds that are graceful and the open ocean is the invitation to freedom, but certainly the combination together is quite appealing.

Meanwhile, back on shore, the plovers are doing some scrounging for food themselves.

As you can see, this fellow has wandered all over the place in his quest for lunch.
