Monterey Bay Aquarium - II

Aquaria these days always have at least one tank (sometimes many) of jellyfish. These are lit in such a way to provide a strong contrast between the animals and the background.

This makes it easy to see the details of the creatures and enjoy seeing their more translucent parts.

In case you needed proof that the jellies are immune to the stingers of other jellies, look no further. Just imagine if you were in there with them!

In spite of their rather unfriendly character, they are very beautiful creatures.

I find it curious that they seem to spend a lot of time in these tanks apparently upside down.
