We took Seamus on a ride along the famous 17-mile Drive just south of Monterey. It was a beautiful sunny day with enough wind to make the sea a little interesting.
The succulents that cover the ground here produce these brightly colored flowers. I think they are called ice plants (Carpobrotus edulis).
Looking south, we see the mountains and a part of the rugged shore that is the usual along here.
Lots of color to be found here. I'm more accustomed to the grey, forbidding Atlantic that is almost never displaying such an inviting shade of blue.
