Our morning at the state park was park of our drive to Westport beach. But it was hard to leave this serene and symmetric place.
I don't know why I find this symmetry so appealing, but I always do.
Arriving at Westport Beach, we find a sky that is bringing lots of drama. The blue sky and bright sun are gone and replaced by foreboding sky. the view below looks back across a bay towards town.
Turning to face seaward, we see rain in the distance and a wide, mostly empty beach. It is clearly beach that at least a few people are allowed to drive on (or simply got away with it?). Someone earlier in the day managed to generate a very round donut in the sand with their vehicle.
The sky looks less fun. The middle portion of the clouds appears to be more turbulent than the sea underneath. Clearly, weather is headed our way.
