Green-Crowned Brilliant, Violet-fronted Brilliant, Bananaquit, Bronzy Inca

I know that I'm repeating the same bird often from one blog entry to the next (just wait until I get to the Galapagos Islands...), but these really are amazing birds. The colors of this violet-fronted brilliant are just stunning.
We moved on to a different choice of flower to entice the hummers and one of the first ones to show up is the green-crowned brilliant.

And this flower was attractive to the bananaquit as well.

The bronzy inca is also a frequent visitor no matter what sort of flower is hosting the sugar water.

It is amazing to see the positions that this tiny birds put their wings through to be able to hover so precisely over a food source.
