Another plant that makes good images when wet is St. John's wort. It, too, is hydrophobic and produces great beads of water after a rain.
Reflected in the surface of the larger drops below, you can get a glimpse of me taking the photo. Distorted is one of the better ways to se me take a photo.
The undersides of the drops of water are silvery because of total internal reflection. They are flattened by the contact with leaf and sometimes, as is the case for the very large drop below, this bottom surface reflects the texture of the leaf below.
