A Little Look at Murphys

My memory is so bad these days, I've probably posted photos of these parts of Murphys before. No matter. It is always fun to revisit a place to see it with different eyes.

Murphys Farmer's Market

On Sundays, there is a small farmer's market in Murphys. It is located in a small park that sits next to Murphys Creek just a block or two from main street.

About nine or ten miles east of us on Hwy 4 is the small town of Murphys. It has a delightfully shaded main street with lots of old buildings still standing. Some, like this hotel are even still used for the the original purpose.

Yesterday's entry contained a sad story of a child who lived on a few hours. Today we start with one that is even worse.

We are getting settled in our house sit in Angels Camp, CA. On our first outing, we naturally sought out a cemetery (or two or three). This one, in the small but charming town of Murphys, was our first stop.
