While I do not for sure, it seem likely that through the years the king/queen have been here a few times since it is within walking distance to the Windsor castle gate. As a result, this relatively simple church has some rather fancy adornments.
For example, there is sa royal pew set off from the rest of the church. there are some mighty fancy wood carvings found on the quire screen and in the railings.
There is also some quite nice stained glass.
I found this brightly pained stone carving quite unusual. Perhaps it once one the case that many of the stone carvings were painted but the paint has fadded away. However, here it seems to be either well preserved or recently retouched.
