We found that the best breakfast for us was to be had a local McDonalds. Not wanting to sit there to eat, we got it to go and headed out to the beach.
Much to our surprise, this is a beach we could drive on. While we found this to be pretty common in Australia, this is the first one in the US that we've visited that permitted it.
The sand was hard and the tide was out so we got good seats to see the sea and sky. there was clearly some sort of weather out to sea causing the dramatic clouds and turbulent sea.
As you can see, the beach this time of year is quite empty.
We did see a few fishing boat cruise past us while we sat and munched.
