Iguana and Frigate Birds

And so, we leave the iguana to enjoy the rest in the shade while we continue with our explorations of the frigate birds.

This male is sitting in on the nest with his sac deflated for good reason. The female lays only one egg each year and this year's efforts are all for naught.

The lone egg has been knocked or fallen out of the nest to its demise on the ground. Fingers crossed for next year.

Meanwhile, other families are more successful and other papas are flying about proudly.
