Great Frigatebird, Land Iguana, and Lava Lizards

The male frigatebirds perch like this near their nest to rest. I am not sure, but I believe the feathers are raised and fluffy near the neck to give the bird some ventilation while resting in the hot sun.
On the ground here, as on many other islands, we find land iguana.

There is also lava lizards basking in the sun. Either one of these just ate something large-ish or else is pregnant. The latter assumption leads me to believe that this is a paired male and female.

The thing that is so fascinating about these large iguana is the patchwork coloring of their skin. They look like they've been quilted by someone who is down to the dregs of cloth scraps.
