Two More Churches

Having been through full overload in the previous two churches, we found this much smaller one just down the street. It is the Church of the Tabernacle. It is indeed smaller but it is stil seriously ornate.

I really didn't take but one photo inside since there was a service or some sort in progress. Interestingly, while were were sitting in one of the pews and listening, a woman came in, and when she got to the back pew, she got on her knees and "walked" all the way to the altar in the front in penance. I'm away that these things happen, but it was the first time I saw it.

Back on the street, we sat for a bit in the square and watched people. Next to is the City Cathedral of Quito. We did not go inside (we were nearly to our daily church limit and we had one more to visit) but from the info on Google maps, it is far more "normal" inside than the ones I've already shown you.
