Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge - V

Here's another view of our friends, the hooded merganser family.

Sitting a ways from the road, out in a field, were a pair of sandhill cranes posing for the camera.

 Here's another view of the hooded merganser swimming along looking for food.

They are indeed quite beautiful birds.
