Just below the falls, another branch of the river joins in to continue the journey on to the Pacific.
The falls themselves are not high or wide. Rather, the flow is broken into several streams as it gushes over and around the rocks. This subdivision an the fact that we can get fairly close to the stream (and it is close to the parking area) makes this a waterfall you should visit.
While we are not here at the height of the annual melt, it is, nevertheless, a substantial flow. It is quite noisy here.
With the sun shining directly on the falls, I took three shots to bracket the scene and merged them to an HDR to be sure that I could get the dynamic range covered. As a result, in the places where the water was frothing along, I got some artifacts of the process that makes the water look a bit strange.
