I'm quite sure that I were a rock in the path of that rushing water, I'd have long ago given way to make the smoother flow. It is very powerful.
I'm always slightly amazed to find plant growing just inches away from this intense spray of water. I would imaging that modest changes in throughput could wipe away those plants nearest to the edge. But there seem to do very well.
The speed of the water, creates 'dry' cavities at the downstream sides of rocks and a fresh breeze in the trees around it.
A short walk away from the river, we find this sylvan glade bespeckled with sunlight.
Very beautiful photographs of the powerful Nature. The force of water are really incredible.
