No trip to the Albuquerque area would be complete without a visit to Bosque del Apache to see a few birds. While we always seems to get to place around midday with finding birds is not ideal, we did see some. For example, the Greater Yellowlegs you see above.

Common and Uncommon Birds
Those of you who have followed this blog from the beginning, will know that I have posted plenty of photos of ibis in Africa and Australia. They are not so common here in the US. However, we do have one, the glossy ibis, and you can see him in the photos above and below.

Fogg Dam
On the ride out to Kakadu, more than an hour from Darwin, we passed a turn off to Fogg Dam. We decided to drive out for look around. We indeed did get to see some of our feathered friends. Above is the Australian Darter.
