Into the Wetlands

It probably seems odd that we are taking walk to see the wetland and I start with photo of a cactus. Yet, here we are.

There are oodles of cacti all over the lowlands on these islands where the drainage is good and the soil sandy.

But there really are wetlands here. We went to see the birds but had little luck at these ponds.

Nevertheless, there are beautiful scenes here even without animals in them.
