Flowers and Leaves

Exploring the world nearby has become a routine thing to do since the covid lockdowns. This means that going for walk to take pictures is a challenge since everything looks like it did the first 3 or 4 times I took the same picture. With care, however, I can find some old things to see afresh.

There are flowers with impressively textured fleshy petals that seem extravagant. I wonder if this plush-ness is also inviting to the pollinators?

These leaves, caught in the throes of the annual transition, make an nice collage. It is almost as if time is passing at different rates for the various leaves on this plant.

I always enjoy shooting Dusty Miller. The unusual white leaves give this plant an almost artificial look.
