Near the end of the season, the colors and textures to be found around us changes. Above, it seems that this bush is holding a protest sign in an attempt to slow the season change.
Flowers often show the fading of the season with a twinge of brown around the edges. Don't ask about the hair. I don't know what that is about.
The changes are often not plant-wide. Sometimes it starts with some leaves, and let others carry on with the making of food while the flamboyant few advertise for autumn.
And, of course, not everything is red in the fall. Sometimes, yellow is the color of choice.
But it is often possible to find a flower that still believes that Summer is here and it is time to make beauty in the world.
