Many of the photos of this place are high dynamic range composites because it was dark in many of the corners and very bright in other places. This one is also a focus stack to get everything in focus. A total of 6 shots to make one.
Almost none of the images are handheld ... nearly all are taken using a tripod. This one below is among the few done by hand.
The large bolts and extensive plumbing give this view a look of the art deco style. At least that is my opinion.
My favorite oiler is next to this governor with its weights. Something technical and slightly old-fashioned-kinda-scientific looking about it. The modern eye cannot quite tell if James Watt built this or Westinghouse.
