Spada Lake

Not too far from Snohomish is Spada Lake. This is a manmade lake that serves as a reservoir for Snohomish and is operated by the Snohomish PUD (Public Utilities Division, can't get used to that abbreviation).

On the way to the lake are streams and ponds that make nice photos.

Fine art photography is typically marked by simple compositions. Thus, I am calling this image fine art.

At the lake, with a still cloudy sky in spite of the weather forecast, we are greeted by a shoreline with lots of large stumps from when the lake was created.

Occasionally, I could find one that gave a simpler composition and a hint of a fine-arty kind of image.

Mostly, the shore was littered with stumps.

But there are views without any stumps at all.

One of the streams in the area is filled with lots of colorful stones and rushing water.

Down by the dam, I could get a view up the length of the lake. This four-shot panorama covers the width of the lake and shows the overall size.

But I do like the view in B&W quite a lot.
