Imagine my surprise when wandering the Melbourne General Cemetery and finding a gravestone for Elvis Presley! I took three pictures of this site to introduce you to the impressiveness of this memorial. While the one above is indeed impressive, stepping back a little way gets much more so.
This memorial was erected the president of the Australian Elvis Presley fan club. How else would it get here? Notice the flowers and how it is backed up to a rock wall. How nice!
Stepping back a few more feet, you realize that rock formation is, in fact, part of the memorial! This is an enormous marker.
Moreover, it is clearly well maintained. There are still many Elvis fans out there willing and able to donate time and money to keeping the King properly recognized.
