On the way back from White Cliffs and Wilcannia, we saw that the sky was filling with clouds. A storm was a'comin'. Off in the distance was a small spot where it was raining and the sun streaming through a gap in the clouds illuminated it to give the appearance of a sword hanging from the heavens.
These rain squalls gave rise to some really impressive sky views.
Interestingly, our snafu with the underground hotel was a good thing. These rain clouds happened to drop a significant amount of rain on the road leading to White Cliffs. At midnight the road was closed and, had we been there, we'd have been stuck. All's well that ends well.
