Small Things

Sometimes times the most memorable things are the small things that we pass everyday. Often, when I look at a fire hydrant on the street, they stand out to my eye as this one does in this image. The bright red stands out against a much more drab background and becomes the focus of attention.

One of the small things I noticed on this walkabout is this sundial on the side of a house. It is even, more or less, telling the right time.

Some things are only visible in the winter. Seeing the moon through this bare tree on Mary Baldwin campus is not anything that happens in the spring and summer.
