Not far south of Seaside is the popular Cannon Beach. It is famous for the sea stacks and the sandy beach. The town is a real tourist attraction with all the trappings.
On a day like this, the photos are flatly light and have high contrast. I tried to offset this a little by using multiple exposures and HDR to get into the shadows a bit better.
This expansion of the dynamic range gives a bit better feel for what it was like to be there.
There is life everywhere here. Even in the shallows, there is abundant plant life and even some animals (although, not in this image).
