Poulsbo
Today we took a break from grandparenting to see a little of our surroundings. We drove over to Poulsbo, a town settled by Norwegians. It's a great little town across the bridge from Bainbridge Island on the Olympic peninsula.
The antique store had lots of bric-a-brac on display for sale.
There were also glasses and lamps.
On the street the town's viking theme was on display.
It is not really clear to me why a place would have a Licorice Shrine, but they got one. There is even an apartment building called Asgard.
A cool little town. We'll be back.
And there is a good bakery. We had a bear claw with a date filling that was to die for.
I don't know what this is but it sure looks good.
