In the Melbourne CBD is the extensive and amazing Queen Victoria Market. This is a place filled to the brim with just about everything you can imagine. We only made a tour of the food section, but it goes on and on.
We started in the fish and meat section. There are rows and rows of fishmongers and butchers selling every kind of critter you an image.
Lots of places sold sausages or divers descriptions.
There was a place that sold biltong and jerky.
Then there the cheesemongers and the folks that only sold, say, French cheese.
Pasta? You want pasta? We got you covered.
Of course, there are sweets as well.
And bread. Oodles of bread.
Need some fresh fruit and veg? Of course you do.
And eggs...tons of eggs.
Everybody needs a spot of coffee and we got you covered.
This is a wonderful place to window shop, take in the sights and smells and perhaps, make a few purchases. I can't share the smells with you but I can bring you a sample of the sounds.
