After the Superb Lyrebird experience, we visited Bateman's Bay for a quick look about and some breakfast (or Brekkie, as it is known here). Naturally, we were drawn to McDonald's (aka: Maccas). All instances of this chain restaurant have a separate barista and the coffee is good.
After stoking our internal fires, we headed to Wasp Head. This is a sandstone outcropping colored with iron, giving it the warm reds and ochers associated with a wasp.
We first approached from the north side and found a nice little beach alongside.
Here you see some of the browns and blacks in the sandstone framing the crystal clear water.
After seeing this side, we drove round to the much more impressive south side of the interesting formation.
