We went for another weekend in Vancouver. We took the train north from Everett. Very easy and relaxing. Except for the hour we had to sit at the border waiting for the OK to proceed, all went just fine. We stayed in the St. Regis Hotel as we did before. Not only are the rooms and people great, but the included breakfast is really nice.
The next morning, we headed out to catch the bus to the Granville Island Market. So far, it is our favorite place to go in the city.
It is smaller and less diverse than the Borough Market in London, but it is pretty darned good. Way better than Pike Place Market in Seattle. Lots of good eats to be had. And all the prices are Canadian, Yeah!
We bought some bread and a couple sweets to enjoy while we sat and people watched for a while.
Then we bussed back into the city and went to gastown to have a look about. Of course, we had to visit the steam powered clock again.
Such a great thing to keep as part of the city traditions.
