Portland Farmer's Market

Not all our trips were to see lots of water located in various directions out of town. We also spend time in the city exploring. One of our first expeditions was to the Portland Farmer's Market located in a park near Portland State University.

The local strawberries sold here are simply amazing. Nothing at all like the tough, tasteless berries shipped in from California or Mexico. Juicy, flavorful and tender berries filled the displays of vendor after vendor.

Flowers were abundant as well. As you can see below, we have very color of the rainbow and then some represented.

Radishes were also in great supply at this stand. I thought is made an interesting photo.

Fresh veggies galore are found here.

Of course, we found lots of places selling herbal remedies, honey, blueberries, Kombucha, coffee, jewelry, and much more. Great market every Saturday all summer long.
