We found a few places near Perth where we can see a few birds without having to drive for hours. One of these is Monger Lake in the Wembley suburb. Here we found the Australian Shelduck.
These are colorful ducks that seem to like to be together in groups.
The real star here is the Great Crested Grebe. This is a really spectacular bird and it is always fun to see him again.
This lake is quite close to the city as you can see below.
